THE ROCKS made a great start to the year with an away victory against Bowers and Pitsea.
Goals by Darren Foxley (27′) and Frankie Merrifield (70′) secured all three points.
Bowers’ consolation gola was by Quentin Monville (90′)
The result leaves East Thurrock in eighth place, just four points off the play-off place.
They return to league action at home on Saturday against Worthing.
