THE THURROCK councillor in charge of education and health has suddenly announced his departure.

Homesteads councillor, James Halden made the statement on his social media campaign this afternoon (Thursday).

In his statement (see below), Cllr Halden reveals that he was asked to quit by the leader of Thurrock Council following a number of “irreconcilable differences”. Cllr Halden did not elaborate further.

Cllr Halden, who became a councillor when he was a teenager, took the opportunity to remind everyone of his achievements and also gave note of the timetable for his departure.

YT has contacted the Thurrock Conservative group for a comment.
