THE A13 will be closed this weekend in both directions between the A128 junction (Orsett Cock roundabout) and the A1014 junction (Stanford-le-Hope). This closure takes place from 9pm this evening (Friday, 7 February) until 5am on Monday, 10 February.
Delays are expected and all non-local traffic is advised to avoid the A13 and use alternative routes such as the A130, A127 and M25. Diversion map attached.
Planned closures are listed below:
· 7 to 10 February, full weekend closure
· 17 to 20 February, overnight closures
· 21 to 24 February, full weekend closure
· 24 to 27 February, overnight closures
Measures being put in place to help alleviate pressure on local traffic are the closure of Buckingham Hill Road, Linford, and Orsett Road in Horndon as well as implementing a temporary one way system in Gordon Road and Victoria Road in Horndon. Linford Household Waste and Recycling Centre (the tip) is open as normal with access via the Linford end.
