The gas company Cadent Gas have confirmed that they have attended the leak.
They said: “Our engineers are currently there dealing with a gas escape. We’ll do all to can to resolve the situation as soon as possible.”

A THURROCK main road was closed this afternoon while workers dealt with a gas leak.
THE A1013 has been partially closed this afternoon because of a gas leak.
The leak has happened at the Orsett Cock roundabout where the road meets the A13, in Orsett.
It has been reported that as a result of the gas leak, the entry and exit slip roads have been closed.
Repair work is being carried out to fix the leak.
Traffic is heavy around the closure, but thanks to there being fewer cars on the roads during lockdown, there are not long delays.
If there was normal traffic on the road, this leak would be likely to cause heavy delays.
