IT’S Harry Potter Week at Thurrock’s Treetops School and the students have been given another magical daily activity.
Yesterday, the students were shown how to make their own wands and today they have given the fun-filled task of making their own potion.
The activities are one of the ways teachers at the school can stay in touch with the students while also giving them something fun to do in what can seem a confusing time while we’re all in lockdown.
YourThurrock yesterday (Wednesday 29 April) shared episode 4 of Treetops News, where students at Treetops were praised and given some well wishes by some famous faces from the worlds of music and dance.
Among them was Anton Du Beke, famous for being a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.
Another was Beth Porch, the inspiring pediatric nurse who works at a children’s hospital in London, who recently appeared to the nation on Britain’s Got Talent.
