Thurrock Adult Community College

Free online courses for adults and families to engage, inform and inspire!

THURROCK Adult Community College, the adult education provider for Thurrock Council, has launched free online taster courses for the local community during this challenging time of social distancing. Online tasters start from 1st June and you can search the full range of offers by visiting their website www.tacc.ac.uk.

Each of the taster courses will help you to develop skills, boost your confidence and let you know about further study options. Those interested in reskilling can choose from a number of vocational introductory courses including Bookkeeping, Support Work in Schools, Counselling and Childcare plus opportunities to brush up your English and Maths skills. There is also a taster for their learning for leisure curriculum, Creative Writing and opportunities to booster your confidence and self-esteem on Good To Be Me or Moving Forward sessions. The Family Learning team are bringing a taster of the ever-popular SMILE Together for families programme to your computer – this is part of a course that has been delivered in schools over the past two years, to build healthy self-esteem.

With the college campus in Richmond Road temporarily closed due to Government restrictions, bookings can be made only online for these free offers at www.tacc.ac.uk, where you will also find full details and joining instructions for each taster course. Places are limited so don’t delay – enrol today!
