THERE have been chaotic scenes on the first day, the Linford Tip re-opened in Thurrock.
The tip, situated off Stanford Road was closed for weeks due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Whilst recycling centres across Essex have reported long but controllable queues, it seemed somewhat predictable that the one run by Thurrock Council would descend into chaos.
At 1430 hrs, Thurrock Council put out the following message.
Linford HWRC: wait times to access the site are now longer than the time left until closing. Please do not visit the HWRC today and visit another day only if absolutely necessary.
Please follow the road signs and stick to the temporary one-way traffic system in place. ⚠️
