Free online workshops from award-winning Thurrock Theatre Company

Rendered Retina

A NEW, exciting and online project has just been announced by multi-award winning theatre company, Rendered Retina. The project, called A Salvaged Thurrock Online, consists of free workshops for young people aged 14-20 who are interested in The Arts.

Over the course of five weeks they will have the chance to learn skills in five areas of theatre and production including: Scenic Design, Script-Writing, Song-Writing, Object Manipulation and Puppetry. This will result in an online work-in-progress performance that will be shared to the public. Funded by the Thurrock CVS VSDF Arts, Culture and Heritage Fund. Workshops happen weekly starting on Monday 20th July and you are able to sign up to as many workshops as you like.

“We’re extremely excited to be able to offer young people in Thurrock the chance to learn new skills and connect with like-minded people during the current global pandemic. We’ve got some wonderful people leading these workshops so we encourage as many people as possible to sign up.” Tom Mangan, Co-artistic Director, Rendered Retina Theatre Company

Rendered Retina are a multi-award winning theatre company based in Thurrock who create and tour their own work to festivals across the UK and Europe. They also offer performances and workshops to schools across the South East with a mission to encourage creativity and play through performance.
