ESSEX Firefighters were called to reports of a fire involving a stable building in Stanford-Le-Hope this evening.
Control teams received almost 70 calls to the incident, which was close to the A13 and producing a lot of smoke.
On arrival, crews reported that one building was 100% alight. Firefighters worked hard to prevent it spreading and managed to contain it – avoiding damage to nearby buildings.
No animals were harmed in this incident.
An investigation to establish the cause of the fire will take place on Monday.
