Woodside Academy student contracts Covid-19

A THURROCK school has tightened its health arrangements after a student has contracted Covid-19.

Woodside Academy in Grangewood Academy issued a statement on Saturday morning.

A spokesperson for the school said: “We now have a child who has tested positive for Covid19.

Parents of that class have been asked to keep children home but all other children can and should attend school.

To make sure we don’t have to close any other classes, or close the whole school, we need to increase our anti-Covid measures.

Masks or face coverings will now be compulsory for any parents coming on site to drop off or collect children.

There will be no exceptions and if we see people remove their mask on site they will be refused future entry.

“Thank you for your cooperation with this measure”.
