University secures prestigious membership with Association of Illustrators
THE Graphic Design and Illustration degree programme at University Centre South Essex has secured a prestigious membership with the Association of Illustrators.
Secured earlier in the academic year, the organisation offers students the pathway to pursue Illustration with access to information on contracts, licensing information, business support, portfolio consultation and exclusive industry opportunities.

Established in 1973, The Association of Illustrators is the professional body for illustration in the UK. The AOI champions illustrators and the industry with education, promotion and campaigning to ensure that it thrives.
John Chandler, Programme Leader for Graphic Design and Illustration, said: “The AOI is the most prestigious organisation involved in Illustration, it’s great that we have secured programme membership for our new BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Illustration course with the new pathway for our Year 2 and Year 3 students.
“Marianna Madriz a practising Illustrator and Senior member of the AOI gave an inspirational talk on how to become a Freelance Illustrator in our Industry Week and I look forward to working with them to support our students going forward.”
