SHOPPERS visiting Lakeside were greeted by a five-metre high and 18-metre-long T-Rex in the centre’s outside The Quay from Saturday.
The shopping centre’s Dinosaur summer takeover launched at the weekend and is here for the whole summer to bring some terrifically, terrifying Tyrannosaurus fun for all. Including on the dino tour is a seven-metre-long Triceratops to a four metre-tall Carnotaurus, a raptor cage and ride-on T-Rex, plus much more.

The event of the summer, which is completely free for all, will invite shoppers to follow the trail and spot the many life-like monsters. Pick up a map from the central Atrium for free, think like an adventurer and follow the trail. Text the Dinosaurs a question, learn some dino-facts and create the perfect family-fun photo.
With moving parts and interactive rides, plus a merchandise shop, Lakeside’s dinosaur takeover at the centre until 31 August.
Howard Oldstein, centre director at Lakeside, said: “This event is bigger and better we could have imagined! The look on people’s faces when they see the life-sized T-Rex is fantastic!”
The colossal dinosaurs and super-fun rides will be located around Lakeside Shopping Centre, with visitors encouraged to head to The Quay, the Central Atrium, Level 1 by Waterstones and House of Fraser, and Level 2 outside Kanoo and M&S on their adventures.
