CHADWELL St Mary councillors joined the council’s tree team to plant a Japanese cherry blossom tree in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Cllr Sara Muldowney said: “We would like to thank the Arboricultural Team for all their hard work this year, planting trees around Chadwell and across the borough.”
“We would also like to thank the Chadwell St Mary Community Forum for their engagement with local residents to pick a location.”
“We think that residents, who voted overwhelmingly for the spot outside Chadwell Library, have made an excellent choice for the location of the tree.”
