THE Feast & Fayre event in Horndon took place on Saturday 25 June and was incredibly well attended.
The Conservative administration at Thurrock Council would like to see more events of this nature across the whole Borough and endeavours to continue to support community initiatives where possible to bring more and more people together in this post-pandemic environment.

A number of Councillors attended including the Deputy Mayor, Cllr Sue Little, and the Member of Parliament for South Basildon & East Thurrock, Stephen Metcalfe MP.
Deputy Mayor, Cllr Sue Little said: “A big congratulations to everybody who took part, especially the winning children from Horndon Primary School for their brilliant poetry. It was lovely to see so many residents coming out to support the community. Stephen Metcalfe MP and I both agreed that the Thurrock Junior Marching Brass band were exceptional and everybody who took part in this event should be proud.”
Orsett Councillor and Cabinet Member for Education & Children’s Social Care, Cllr Barry Johnson said: “Horndon on the Hill has a tight-knit community and events like the Feast & Fayre at the weekend are a great example of it. I would like to thank the committee and volunteers for all their hard work and a truly great day for residents.”
