Police make arrests after disturbance in Chadwell St Mary

ESSEX Police are investigating an assault in Chadwell St Mary where two people have been arrested.

They were called to Brentwood Road at around 10.20am on 5 July to reports of a disturbance there involving two people.

It was reported one man was struck with a plank of wood.

A 25 year-old man from Stifford Clays has been arrested on suspicion of harassment, malicious communications, possession of a knife, and affray.

He has since been released on bail until 26 July.

A 17 year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of ABH, affray, possession of an offensive weapon, and theft.

He’s been released on bail until 25 July.

A security guard, described as being a black man, was reported to have intervened in the incident and we particularly need to identify and speak to him as a witness.
