Tilbury charity welcomes donation from Amazon

A CHARITY supporting the Tilbury community has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in the town.

The donation was made to One Community, a charity invested in bringing local people and groups together to develop skills and improve economic prospects.

This donation will be used by the charity to upgrade their IT systems and CRM to supporting our Building the New Different 3–5 year strategy.

Ruzanna Sargsyan, General Manager at Amazon in Tilbury, said:

“Charities like One Community do important work in our community, and we are pleased to offer our support to the staff and volunteers with this donation. We hope our donation will lend a helping hand to the charity’s upcoming projects.”

Samantha Day, Director, Trustee and Vice Chair of One Community, said:

“The Amazon team in Tilbury has been a great supporter of our charity since 2019 and on behalf of everyone at One Community, I’d like to thank them all for this latest donation. Donations like this bring us closer to our goal of creating a better Tilbury for everyone.”

The donation to One Community was made as part of Amazon’s programme to support the communities in and around its operating locations across the UK.

Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million healthy breakfasts to families in England.

  1. A drop in the ocean compared to what Amazon make and this sort of journalism is a joke. No critical consideration of what Amazon is taking out of the area, how its staff are treated, the taxes dodged, etc. Just turned into some soft PR for a company that should be investing in the area far more than these tiny handouts.

  2. You are listed in the last WILL of a deceased here in United Kingdom. The Laws of England and Wales require that any inheritance not claimed, will be confiscated by British government unless beneficiary reinstates the claim process.

Your inheritance is worth over Fifteen Million British Pounds and you will need to employ the services of an accredited British Attorney or we can recommend one for you to hire. Legal representation is vital to ensure that your inheritance is released to you.

    Thank you.
