Residents asked for their views on Thurrock’s Highways and Transport Services

RESIDENTS are being asked for their views on Thurrock’s Highways and Transport Services – from the condition of roads and footpaths to the quality of cycling facilities.

Their answers will be compared with the views of other members of the public across England & Scotland, thanks to the National Highways and Transport Public Satisfaction survey.

Thurrock is one of 111 Local Authorities to sign up to a standardised survey that has been sent to a minimum random sample of at least 3,300 of the borough’s residents.

Cllr Ben Maney, Cabinet Member for Highways, said: “This survey helps us to direct our resources to make sure we can most effectively improve our highways to best serve our residents.

“I would urge anyone who has received the National Highways and Transport Public Satisfaction survey to complete it and help us make sure we can keep the borough moving.”

The survey, which is being run for the 15th year, is the largest collaboration between Local Authorities offering the opportunity to compare results, share in best practice and identify further opportunities to work together in the future.

National Survey results will be published in October 2022.
