GRAYS Athletic came out with the bragging rights – and second spot in the Isthmian North table – after today’s 2-0 derby win against Tilbury at the EMR Stadium, Chadfields.
The match was played out in front of a crowd of 394, who saw Sam Bantick give the Blues the lead after 28 minutes.
Anointed Chukwu continued his recent run of goalscoring with Grays’ second after 36 minutes.
The visitors remained on top during the second half and came close to grabbing a third goal in the closing statges but they were well satisfield with the win.
The two sides clash again, this time at Parkside, on Wednesday in the Velocity Trophy (Isthmian League Cup).
