THIS week, Lakeside is excited to reveal its Social Media Ambassador, Sophia Sellwood, the first of its kind for the Essex Shopping Centre.
Essex and London Blogger, Sophia (@sophiasellwood) has worked with Lakeside on several projects over the past twelve months and due to her engagement, persona and likeability, Lakeside has commissioned her to represent the centre.
From now until the end of the year, Sophia will front several campaigns starting with a Dining and Leisure campaign, which launched today. In the video, which will be shown on the big screens within Lakeside and on social media, Sophia talks to the camera to explain and explore the variety of dining and leisure offerings available.
“It’s important for us to continue to communicate with our shoppers and remind them of the incredible array of places to eat and explore at Lakeside,” said Marketing Manager at Lakeside Susan Williamson. She added: “Our shopper experience continues to grow as we welcome new retailers to the schedule, which presents ongoing opportunities to shout about why people should visit.
“We knew we wanted an ambassador that people can relate to, which is why Sophia was our first choice. Having worked with her on several campaigns successfully, we made our decision unanimously.”
Sophia said: “I am honoured to be Lakeside’s first ever ambassador! I have always been a faithful shopper at Lakeside. I have watched the centre grow since shopping here as a little girl with my mum. It’s a dream come true now I am able to be involved working with Lakeside.
“It’s a very special moment in my life as I’ll now be taking my little girl shopping here too.
I am so excited for what’s to come! I know it’s going to be great!”
Sophia will be working on her second major campaign in the coming weeks, which takes a completely different approach to the Lakeside experience and touches on motherhood, fashion and baby – details will be revealed in due course.
