Chadwell St Mary: Police investigation after ten-year-old boy knocked down by motorbike

OFFICERS investigating a serious collision in Chadwell are asking for witnesses and footage.

They were called at around 3.30pm on Thursday 27 July following reports of a serious collision on open land at the rear of Aluric Close and Camden Close, Chadwell St Mary.

A police spokesperson said: “A 10-year-old boy was in collision with what we believe at this stage to be a motorcycle which then left the scene. 

The boy has been taken to hospital with a head injury where his condition is described as life-changing. 

We’d ask anyone who was in the area today and saw what happened to contact us.

We’d also ask anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam footage that may have captured something that will help our investigation to check their footage.
