AVELEY sank to the bottom of the table after an away defeat to fellow strugglers St Alban’s City.
Goals by Shaun Jeffers (20, 24 pen) and Reuben Wight (94) secured all three points for the Hertfordshire team.
The result leaves Aveley bottom of the table, nine points from safety.
There are still twelve games to go.
They return to league action on Saturday at home against Hampton and Richmond.
