ESSEX County FA staff recently took part in an important antisemitism awareness training session delivered by Maccabi GB, reinforcing the organisation’s commitment to building a game which is safe, welcoming and inclusive for all.

The training, hosted at Broomfield FC in Chelmsford in July, forms part of the County FA’s ongoing programme to upskill and educate staff members on key issues around equality, diversity and inclusion. Speaking after the session, Inclusion Officer Milly Morgan, said: “We’re proud to be working proactively to ensure that discrimination of any kind has no place in our game.”

“The recent staff training on antisemitism, delivered by Maccabi GB, was an important step in deepening our understanding of the challenges faced by Jewish communities in football. Education is key to driving meaningful change.”

This initiative underlines the Essex County FA’s wider inclusion strategy as part of #MovingForward 2028, ensuring that football across the county continues to lead the way in promoting respect, understanding and fairness.
