A FORMER MP and his election agent have been sentenced to six month suspended prison terms and ordered to pay £5,000 costs each after being found guilty of committing offences in connection with a local election for Castle Point Borough Council in 2016.
Robert Spink, 69, and James Parkin, 41, appeared at Basildon Crown Court today, Friday, January 5 for sentencing.
Parkin was sentenced for four offences, two of which he admitted, and Spink was also sentenced for four offences all of which he denied.
The offences relate to Spink and others standing as prospective UKIP council candidates.
Parkin and Spink were involved in submitting a number of nomination forms bearing signatures that had been obtained falsely in some way, either by misleading those who were signing or in few forging signatures.
The offences covered the time of the local elections in May 2016.
Both were made the subject of the suspended jail terms for a period of two years, given 150 hours community service and ordered to pay court costs.
So Much for UKIP being whiter than white.
Sadly UKIP as succuming to the general policies of politics in Britain today…Dirty, wrong and unfair.

Looked around I agree change is needed. But not UKIP maybe not even Green party. but something has to change Neoliberlaism is failing everyone.
Well my friend we can agree on that. The Green party is to soft and namby pamby, we need hard line policies to make a fair and just society where people are accountable for their actions and a deterrent is put in place. No more excuses we are all sick of them.
