Man charged over stabbing in Aveley

ESSEX Police have charged a man in connection with a stabbing in Aveley last month.

A man was left with a number of stab wounds, broken jaw, nose, and eye sockets following an incident in Shannon Way near Belhous Park on March 3.

Lewis Dodd, 25, of West Street London E11, has been charged with wounding with intent and robbery.

He was due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 6 and is next due to appear in court on May 4.

Another man, Michael Thompson, 2, of Mill Lane Grays had already been charged with wounding with intent and robbery.

He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on April 27.

  1. Agree we need to build a local prison in South Essex and jail druggies, knife, acid, gun and fraudsters.
    I would be willing to pay £1000 more in council tax to be safe at night and I bet I am not the only one.

  2. Prison is seen as a badge of honour. Labour camps or Siberian salt mines are the answer.
    Work them 7 days a week, 10 hr days and lets make our streets safe again.
