THURROCK MP Jen Craft rose on the floor of the House of Commons to pay tribute to a Chafford Hundred teenager who lost his life.

Jen Craft said: I would like to pay tribute to my constituent Henry Nowak, who sadly lost his life in an incident a few days ago. He was 18 years old, had just started university and had his whole life ahead of him. My thoughts, and I am sure those of the whole House, are with his family and those who loved him. May I ask the Leader of the House what the Government are doing to support victims of knife crime, and whether he will find time for a debate on this important matter?

Leader of the House of Commons, Alan Campbell replied: I know that the whole House will join me in extending my deepest sympathies to Henry’s family. I know the case is sub judice, so I will be careful in how I respond, but I will raise with the relevant Minister my hon. Friend’s concerns on the wider issue of knife crime and what further we can do to support victims.
