AS WE enter the final week of campaigning for the local and european elections, it looks like UKIP may be on the cusp of their most successful night in politics.
They have a growing influence in Thurrock where they have put a lot of hard work in.
There are those that believe that after May 22, 2014, it is all downhill from there.
In 2009, they gained 17% of the vote in the European elections and went on to gain 3% in the General Elections of 2010. They may well gain over 30% in the 2014 European elections. It is also expected that will drop to something like 9% in 2015. That may not gain many MPs but it could damage a lot of Tory and Labour campaigns.
YT spoke to UKIP veteran, Clive Broad and among the questions we asked him, what he would call success for the local Thurrock elections on May 22nd.
Clive told YT that he would see obtaining 25% of the vote would be a success. That may be a conservative ambition. In 2012, they captured 18% of the vote. 4,803 residents voted UKIP out of a total of 26,616 votes.

After all the hard work you and your brother did in promoting UKIP, only to be dashed by the likes of Robert Ray within your party, Nigel Farage went on record on LBC members of far right groups especially the BNP cannot join or be members of UKIP, in this case it shows you UKIP have no credibility ad spin out lies to potential voters this is quite clear and undeniable regarding Robert Ray, the best thing you can do Clive is to rid yourself of this nasty person who maintains he still has the same views has he did 20 years ago when he was part of the far right group BNP
Meanwhile both Labour and the Conservatives welcome former NF, BNP and former members of other Nazi groups with open arms…

I Truly wish Mr Broad and his brother every success in winning
This two brothers deserve it, not that bloody Fool Robert Ray
Clive deserves success, after watching question time tonight, the other parties are running scared.
Thurrock Council needs a Clive BRoad who will tell them as it is. A successful business man from the area with lots of knowledge, I hope he gets in and starts to talk facts.
