Police thank public after missing seven-year-old found safe and well

    THE seven year old boy missing from his home in Grays has been found safe and well.

    He was traced at about 10am after he was seen in street in Grays by a resident who had read on social media that he was missing and that police were searching the area.

    Chief Inspector Justin Smith said: "This was an absolutely brilliant response by the media and the public. We are delighted that the boy has been found safe and sound so quickly."

    POLICE are currently carrying out searches in the Chadwell St Mary area for a seven year old boy who is missing from his home.

    The boy is thought to have wandered away from his home in St Cecilia Road during the night.

    His mother called police at about 7am today when she realised he was missing. The boy has brown blond shaved hair and is thought to be wearing black jogging bottoms and blue wellington boots.

    Anyone who has seen the boy should call Grays police station on 101 or dial 999 if he is seen to be in danger.
