MANY THURROCK voters were absorbed by the Leaders’ debate held on ITV tonight (Thursday).

During the debate a number of Thurrock voters gave their responses on a number of subjects.

    On Twitter and Facebook:

Christopher Peters: "Without Immigration our Hospitals WOULD function. Less third world diseases, less idiots in A & E, less extra strain on A & E…. get it right. I’ve worked in the NHS for over 20 years, I have seen the change and know. We have had selective immigration via interviewing abroad to select and appoint the best, and most able people to come to the country to retrain and be an added value to the NHS. What your statement says in that all immigration is ok".

Sarah Mitchell: "Whose gonna make it so that it’s not backwards in the fact I’m only £20 a week better off by working?"

Joey Bowey: " Seriously I wish there was a Green Party candidate in Thurrock."

Sam Neville: "Without immigration our hospitals wouldn’t function! #nursingcounts."

T Burgess: "Ukip can not win Thurrock they will destroy our diverse community."

Abbie Maguire: "I’m the first person in my family to go to university, and I’m from Thurrock. My sister will be attending next year too".

Thurrock UKIP candidate, Tim Aker said: "Nigel Farage provided a genuine alternative to the Tories who let us down on immigration controls and cannot win in Thurrock and Labour who do not have a local candidate and have no plans to get Thurrock on the national agenda."
