THURROCK made it four wins in a row with a comfortable victory away at Hatfield Peverel.

The hosts batted first looking to post a competitive total. But the Thurrock bowlers all showed good discipline and bowled the hosts out for just 133. Daniel Laird was the pick of the bowlers with 4-27 from his ten overs including the key wicket of top scorer Danny McIntyre for 24. Andrew Hills grabbed a couple while Umaad Sultan, Clarke Wren and Muhammad Rahim picked up one apiece.

Small totals can be difficult at times, but the away side made light work of the run chase as Ross Fullbrook (57) and Nick Henry (20) put on 80 for the first wicket. It was left down to Umar Ayub (18*) and Shameer Qureshi (13*) to knock off the runs, with victory leaving Thurrock in third place in the Premier Division with four games to go.
