The game continued in the good spirit of the game and the T-Chicks never lost heart or enthusiasm towards the game when many teams would have
just given up. The girls improved as the game went on with scrums and positioning much better. Some great tackling was put in by Lauren Shirley, Emmi McGill and Becky Sheridan.
Hopefully it was payback time with both teams playing physical rugby but neither side were able to create any clear cut chances. The deadlock was finely broke when Mark Brandon gratefully accepted a penalty in front of the posts to put the home side ahead. Ruislip came back strong but two kickable penalties went astray and could not get on the score sheet, and Thurrock made them pay.
