Jordan storms Orsett Fun Day

We knew he was good, but the crowd hadn’t seen him before and absolutely loved the set. Jordan Gray (Tall Dark Friend) the 20 year old from Tilbury took time off from his busy schedule to entertain the crowds at the revamped Orsett Fun Day Music stage.

A new venue ,well moved along 200 yards from last year , a lovely afternoon and the crowd just had to love the entertainment.

Apart from Jordan the act that really impressed me was a young lady from Langdon Hills called Georgia Strand. Delightful voice ,great stage composure and excellent songwriting. So impressed I tried to play her stuff on the radio the next day only to find out she had been our record of the week earlier. This lady will go far!

My one piece of advice to 14 year old Karl Griffin from Orsett Heath is to enter as many talent shows as he can including the biggies. His saxophone playing was superb, well watch the film and see for yourself.

We were also entertained by Whatever Next a blues duo from Horndon, local lass Amelia Whitwood who breezed through her set with confidence, Medicine from Brentwood who gave us a very enthusastic acoustic versioon of their set and the evening was wrapped up by the sounds of swing with Veronica Lee.

I’m looking forward to next year already
