Thurrock have resumed training ahead of their forthcoming schedule of pre-season friendlies that start on Monday evening the 20th July with Dagenham & Redbridge visiting Ship Lane.
After finishing in the bottom three of the Blue Square South last season and only avoiding relegation due to the resignation of Team Bath, Thurrock need to apply themselves differently this season if they wish to avoid the same fate.
Hakan is hoping that the signing of ex Grays Midfielder Matt Bodkin and the return from long term injury of Greg Lincoln will be the difference this time around, their young squad will need to have learnt a lot of lessons from last years campaign if we are to see any change.
Thurrock will be missing two key strikers from the starting squad of last season, Leon McKenzie and Che Stadhart: both had been at the club for a number of seasons and with no other signings been made scoring goals could prove to be a serious issue.
