Last Sunday, residents from across the borough came together to celebrate the re-dedication of Aveley’s war memorial. Along with the help of the community, local businesses and the Aveley and Kenningtons Community Forums, the war memorial has now been transformed into an area which truly honors the soldiers that died in World War Two as well as current conflicts.
Councillor John Cowell, took the time to talk to YourThurrock about the successful ceremony and what he hopes it will achieve for the future of Aveley.
