IT has been a nightmare weekend for St Clere’s Golf Club, Stanford-le-Hope . On thursday, mindless vandals drove their car around one of the greens causing substantial damage to the grounds; damage that may take twenty years to repair.
At the weekend, thieves gained access to the club from the Tilbury side, broke into warehouse and stole a substantial amount of agricultural equipment. To make matters worse, the guard dog has also gone missing.
Staff believe it would have been a substantially organised job.
