IT IS one thing to write or to witness about gang related violence in the borough but how does it feel, day to day, when you are the target of racially aggravated assaults?
The young men of Thurrock are just a bit tense right now and there is every likelihood that it is going to spill over.
The police are moving them along, the probation service are picking up the pieces but is anyone actually addressing the core issues or making the right moves?
We spoke to one young man about being beaten up and the mood out on the streets at the moment.
