POLICE have appealed for information about a large disturbance outside a nightclub in Grays in which a man received serious injuries.
The incident happened after a dispute inside the Entourage Club in the Queensgate Centre spilled out on to the pavement at about 4am on saturday morning.
One man suffered a head injury and fractured arm and is still being treated in hospital. Another man also received a head injury and was treated in hospital before being allowed home.
Two police officers were assaulted in the disturbance and needed hospital treatment for slight injuries.
A 22-year-old man from West Norwood, south London, was arrested on suspicion of having an offensive weapon and was bailed until November 18 pending further enquiries.
Inspector Rachel Wood said: “The club has closed temporarily while the investigation continues and we would urge anyone with information to contact us.
“This was a large disturbance in which a man was seriously injured. We want to find out what happened and why the trouble spilled out from the club and into the street.”
