It’s official. The festive feeling has finally arrived in Tilbury!
Hundreds of people gathered around Tilbury’s Civic Square last Friday to witness Tilbury’s very own Superhero, Peter Hewitt, magically switch on the town’s Christmas lights! Trust me, it was magic as there wasn’t a button in sight.
Throughout the evening there were a variety of activities and entertainment for the festive folk to enjoy. This included a variety of Christmas stalls, frightening fun-fair rides, excellent music, magicians, balloon modelers and much more! Father Christmas even took time out of his busy schedule to pop by!
Members of the Tilbury Riverside Project who had organised the evening’s Christmas extravaganza were incredibly proud with the amount of support shown by the community, which in turn created a very successful and enjoyable event for all.
