Labour Candidate Relishing Challenge

AFTER a unanimous vote of confidence in both nomination contests, Chair of Thurrock Labour Carl Morris says that he is ready to take on the challenge of defending the 6,375 majority won by Andrew Mackinlay at the last election.

The key question is how can he convince people from Grays, Purfleet and South Ockendon, made unemployed by the recession, that Labour is still a party worth voting for?

With all the main party candidates now declaring their intention to stand, it looks like the race to March 25th or May 6th has truly begun.
