Thurrock U-14 0 v 10 Braintree U-14

T’s have had a slow start to the season but proved on Sunday that it’s never to late to turn things around. Despite a 10-0 loss, they were the stronger team in the first half keeping Braintree on the run.

Some outstanding tackles were put in by Sam Reilly, Charlie Harris and Charlie Hulse. The whole squad kept the ball in play and didn’t disappoint their supporters. The forwards were strong in the line outs winning the majority, with the precise throwing of Charlie Currie.

T’s kept the play in Braintree’s half but couldn’t penetrate the strong defence line. Wyatt Halliday and Bari Allali made some strong runs for T’s but were always felled just short of the line.

The score at half time was 0-0. The second half saw an unfortunate bounce of the ball put Briantree in the lead. T’s had to play a game of defence and dug deep, a questionable try from Braintree saw them take the lead 10-0. T’s played an outstanding game, one the whole squad should be proud of.
