The Bulphan in Bloomers were out on sunday taking part in The Royal Horticultural Society’s ‘National Day, River of Green’
The villagers planted over 200 hedging plants entering into the village whilst others carried out a mass litter pick of the surrounding main roads, collecting over 25 bags of rubbish.
It was a most fruitful day with all parts of the community taking part in preparation for the forthcoming year, as the village, being Gold winners in The Anglia in Bloom Competition, has been nominated to take part in the national ‘Britain in Bloom’. Judging will be in July and August.
YourThurrock spoke to Kelly Fiford about how the day went in the village.
