A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road crash in Grays.
The collision happened when Barry Baker was struck by a white Ford Transit on Whitehall Lane shortly after 6pm on Friday, February 19.
The 52-year-old pedestrian from College Close in the town was conveyed to Basildon University Hospital, but sadly died a short time later.
The van driver was uninjured.
A 38-year-old man from Grays has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and is now on police bail until Saturday, June 12 pending further enquiries.
