Thurrock Council is to host a service to mark St George’s Day and everyone is invited to come along.
The event is being held on Sunday, 25 April, at 4pm, at St Peter & St Paul’s Parish Church, High Street, Grays.
The Thurrock Spectrum Brass Band will be providing the music for the event, with Grays Convent Choir performing alongside them.
Refreshments will be available in the Church Hall after the Service.
There will also be a St George’s Fayre on the High Street in Aveley on sunday throughout the day.
The scouts will also be out in force at a service of renewal at 3pm at Grays school followed by a march and inspection at Blackshots.
About time too, all too long have the English been stepped upon by the Political Correct Mob when asking to celebrate thier Saints day.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game’s afoot:
Follow your spirit; and, upon this charge
Cry God for Harry, England and St George!’.
