Police were called at around 2.30am this morning, Saturday, October 9 to a burglary at a jewellers in Lakeside Shopping Centre.
Around eight men dressed in black and wearing balaclavas forced entry to the jewellers and made off with a “significant amount” of jewellery and watches.
Police are appealing to anyone that may have seen anything suspicious in the area surrounding Lakeside.
Police are not releasing the name of the jewellers at this time although YourThurrock understands that it is Emsom Haig on the first floor near to the Burger King entrance.
