DESPITE a hard earned draw at home to play off contenders Kingstonian, Aveley fell to the bottom of the Ryman Premier table yesterday.
The two relegation spots seem to be between five clubs but Aveley, despite never being outclassed are going to have to pick up three points in matches pretty soon.
It was slack defending that caused them to go a goal down after seventeen minutes when Kingstonian’s top scorer Bobby Traynor slotted home after a fine cross from Nick Greene.
Aveley equalised in the 39th minute with a Kenny Beaney tap in from close range.
Kingstonian had the larger share of possession and chances in the second half but couldnt grab the three points.
The Millermen face a trip to Canvey next week and know that they have to step up a gear.
