The final countdown to T-Fest 11 has begun.
This year sees an unbelievable line-p on the T Fest stage including The cast from the TV hit show The Only Way is Essex Jamie ‘Afro’ Archer (X Factor), Six D, Jean Martyn (Britain’s Got Talent), Twenty Twenty, 4 Flava, Lexii, Signature (Britain’s Got Talent) Kayzar Dance Crew (Got to Dance) and Gamu (X Factor)
Last year’s T-Fest proved a huge hit with local people as thousands descended on Grays Beach Park for a weekend of music, community projects and fun and this year with the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Thurrock, the event will be bigger and better than ever.
Cllr Lynn Worrall, Thurrock Council’s cabinet member for libraries and culture, said: “T-Fest has got bigger and better year on year, and 2011 is no exception.
“I would like to pass on my personal thanks to all our sponsors — Family Mosaic, Petroplus, Redrow Homes, Runwood Homes, Weston Homes and, of course, the South Essex College of Further and Higher Education — for making this event possible.
“In these difficult economic times many authorities have had to cut back on community events like this, but thanks to the community spirit of our sponsors, we can go ahead.
“T-Fest is truly by the community for the community and that’s something we should all be proud of.”
To keep up to date with what’s happening, log on to the T-Fest 11 website (www.thurrockfestival.org.uk) or join up to the T-Fest 11’s Twitter or its Facebook page which already boasts over 600 fans.
