GCSE 2011: Ormiston: School delighted as breaking through barriers

ANY SCHOOL run by headteacher Tess Walker demands high standards and once again the Aveley-based school has improved in its results. Two years ago, the schools GCSE results at 5 A* to C inc English and Maths stood at 23%, the lowest by 8% in the borough.

This year, they are 17% better, with a great result of 40%. This is one of the most significant results across the borough and a real breakthrough for the school.
