GCSE Day 2011: Grays School: Moving on up

LAST YEAR was a tough year for Grays School. Whilst every other schools results went up, they declined. Headteacher, Lynn Ibeji told us this morning that they looked at a number of reasons that they felt were the causes.

It clearly worked as the school made a 5% improvement in their 5 A* to C grades at GCSE inc English and Maths.

It was clear that Mrs Ibeji wanted more but that is the nature of ambition but there were many many students who were delighted with the results.

What was also positive at the Grays School and Media Arts College was the fact that so many pupils seemed equally pleased with how their friends got on.

YT spoke to Rachael Hammant and Josh Clark about their success.
