Cops coldfire for Cancer Research charity in Corringham

A POLICE OFFICER  from Basildon is holding a charity music night to raise money for Cancer Research.

Pc Dave Dunn, front man for band Coldfire, is arranging a night of live music, dancing, disco, raffle prizes and food on Friday, November 11 at Corringham Village Hall, Springhouse Road.

Pc Dave Dunn said: “We have lost a lot of friends and colleagues to Cancer in recent years, so we are holding a charity fundraising event both in aid of Cancer Research, and in memory of those departed.

“Everyone is welcome to attend, and there will be some fantastic raffle prizes drawn on the night. For previous music charity nights we have organised, the raffle prizes have included top prizes such as an authentic framed and signed Sugar Ray Leonard boxing glove, so we are hoping to have more top prizes this year.”

Tickets cost £10 each, and will include a buffet as well as all of the good music.

Coldfire will be playing a range of music to suit all tastes, from artists such as Kings Of Leon, Foo Fighters, Faithless, Bowie, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Frank Sinatra, Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, Arctic Monkeys, Golden Earring and The Eagles to name but a few.

Pc Dunn added: “We have all been touched at sometime in our lives by this terrible disease, so please help us do something about it. Enjoy a good night out in support of a good cause. Remember your friends and colleagues in an environment they would enjoy seeing you in.”

For tickets please contact Dave Dunn by emailing him dave.dunn@essex.pnn.police.uk.The event starts at 7pm and will finish at 12am.
