Candlesticks may shed light on Aveley burglary

POLICE have released a picture of a distinctive candlestick that was stolen in a burglary in Hall Terrace, Aveley.

At 12.20am on June 10, suspects forced open a rear door, causing £30 damage. A tv, a laptop, and Ipod, a Notebook, £120 cash, a games console, a Rolex, a diamond ring and a white gold engagement ring were amongst the items stolen. Most notably, two Waterford Crytstal seahorse candlesticks were stolen, along with a glass bowl and glass vase, making the total haul estimated at £7,500.

Investigating officer, Pc Chris Kench, said: “Most of these items would have had substantial sentimental value, and we are asking for information from anyone that may have seen these items on sale anywhere. We desperately want to get these items back for the victim, so if you can help us please do the right thing and call us.”
