THERE WAS rail chaos on Friday afternoon after a series of grass fires stopped the trains.
The incidents happened near to Florence Close, Grays
Firefighters used one hose reel and back pack sprayers to tackle a blaze beside railways lines.
An area of some 10m x 20m of grass was on fire when crews arrived at the scene.
The incident was dealt with by 15:12 hrs.
Trains continued to operate as normal but under caution.
